Dear members and friends, I am writing to you just before Easter to send my best wishes to you, your families and friends...

A big part of the Oddfellows is about giving back. We’re run by our members, for our members, and that means providing them with the support they, their friends, family and communities may need.

We are inviting anyone struggling with the impact of spending increasing time alone to join us at one of our regular free online social events.

Kingston Unity Friendly Society Ltd has transferred its engagements to the Oddfellows’ financial services brand, Unity Mutual.

When John Leggett’s wife moved into a nursing home, it marked a huge change to his daily life and happiness. She had a fall and needed help with her dementia. Despite his regular visits to Mary, his wife of 52 years, John missed her always being there and experienced loneliness for the first time.

In 2019, the Lupus Trust was chosen to receive £85,000 over three years from the Society’s HA Andrews Memorial Fund. Sadly, we had to send this year's instalment in the post rather than present it in person, but the Trust’s research team were keen to update us on how their work was progressing despite 2020’s challenges.

North Gloucestershire Oddfellows has donated £1000 to Merton House in Ross-on-Wye to help the hotel, which offers specialist care breaks, get back on its feet after a temporary closure due to the pandemic. This local gesture is on top of a central donation of £5000 from the Oddfellows earlier in the year.
