Making a complaint to the Oddfellows

We aim to resolve most issues quickly and informally. However, if we’re unable to resolve your concern straight away, you may wish to make a formal complaint.

All complaints are taken seriously and will be handled fairly and impartially.

We'll need the following information

For all complaints, it’s important that we understand your problem fully. Please share as much information as possible about your issue or situation, including:

  • Your full name, address and preferred contact number or/or email
  • A clear and concise overview of your complaint
  • Copies of any relevant documents or communications. (We don’t need the originals)
  • If you are letting us know about your complaint in writing, please keep a copy for your records
  • Let us know if you would like a friend, relative or advisor to handle the complaint on your behalf.

We aim to resolve your complaint straight away. If we can’t, we’ll send you a written acknowledgement of your complaint within five working days of receipt. We will then do our best to complete the investigation within one calendar month of receiving your complaint.

If there are any delays, we'll write to you to explain why this is the case and when we expect to conclude our investigation.

When our investigation is complete, we’ll write to you to let you know the outcome and the reasons for our decision.

If we have not sent you a final response within three calendar months of receiving your complaint, you can refer your complaint to The Information Commissioner (ICO). You can find out how to do this on the ICO website
