A message from our Grand Master

Updated: 12 Jun 2023

David Randall would like to extend his best wishes and thanks during this time of uncertainly.

Dear Member and friend

I would like to pass my best wishes to you and your families. I hope that you are all well and not finding life too difficult at this time of uncertainty.

Our lives, the lives of our fellow members and friends, and those of so many others in our country and the wider world have recently changed and we now find ourselves in unprecedented times.

Since the founding of the Oddfellows in 1810 there have been many challenges, both within our organisation and in society as a whole. It is true to say that throughout this time the Oddfellows has been there and able to serve our members, friends and our wider community, with open hearts and minds. We have been instrumental in giving support to many charitable organisations, as well as our members, and we will continue to do this now and in the future.

Our Government has prepared a number of financial packages to help us as citizens; the National Health Service will look after our wellbeing and other service providers are working together to ensure that we have a future. I ask that you join me in thanking each of those individuals in all front line services for the work they are doing for the better good of everyone in our country.

I would also like to thank all our volunteers, staff and Committee Members in our Branches for their efforts at this time, as well as members of staff from both the Manchester and Liverpool offices for their continued good service and support to our Branches and members.

I hope that you and your families remain safe and that if you need support, that you will contact your local Branch or the staff in Manchester.

Sincerely yours

David Randall
