The festive period is often billed as a time to come together with friends and family, but we know that’s not always possible.

There’s probably someone you know who would really enjoy being part of the Oddfellows. But how do you bring it up? What’s the best way to say, “why not give it a try – it could be great for you?” without sounding pushy or condescending?

On Thursday 2 October, representatives of the Oddfellows visited the impressive facilities at the Manchester Cancer Research Centre (MCRC) to present a cheque for £67,068 to Prevent Breast Cancer, courtesy of our HA Andrews Memorial Fund.

The Oddfellows has appointed Simon Gallimore as CEO Designate, effective from 6 October 2025. Simon will work alongside current Chief Executive Officer Jane Nelson during a structured eight-month transition period, ahead of assuming full CEO responsibilities in May 2026.
