Cost: 3.50

Join us as we learn about the munitions workers of both World Wars. Often called Canary Girls.
we'll discover about the factories and conditions they worked in. Who they were and the times they lived through.
In addition to finding out more about the essential contribution to the war effort which is still largely unrecognised, we'll also find out
about the way they and women generally were viewed by society.
They gave their youth, their health and in many cases their lives.
Their story is an important part of women's social history.
