Party & picnic in the Park

Get ready for a fabulous ABBA event in Bents Park with internationally acclaimed Björn Again. An afternoon not to be missed, dig out the flared trousers, warm up your vocals and get ready to boogie to your favourite ABBA hits. Support from Voices of Virtue Gospel Choir plus more TBA. This event is part of South Tyneside Council's This is South Tyneside Festival.

Meet at 1pm on the Sea Road entrance (Gate 1) near the toilets.  

Bring your own picnic or purchase food/drink from the serveries on site. Don’t forget a picnic rug or chair. A limited number of deckchairs are available to hire on a 'first come-first served' basis. The cost is £4 which must be paid with cash, and returned to the hire point after the concert.

Please be prepared for all weathers. Make sure you bring water and sun cream in case it is hot. Also be prepared for wet weather and bring waterproof clothing as Bents Park is an open air venue with no shelter. 

In the event of heavy rain or strong winds it may be necessary to cancel the concert for safety reasons.

There are various car parks in the area but please be aware it is a popular event and as such the car parks will be busy. There has been paid parking at Bents Recreation Ground in previous year which is next to Bents Park.
