Discovering Korea: My Travel Experience, Presentation by Paul Evans

Our member, Paul Evans has kindly offered to give us a presentation on his trip to Korea:  In May 2023, I embarked on an unforgettable journey to Korea, a land of vibrant culture, stunning landscapes, and warm hospitality. During my visit, I explored Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Jeju Island, each offering its own unique charm. Highlights included visiting historic palaces, the 8 Gates of the City Wall, the DMZ and trying authentic Korean cuisine like kimchi, gimbap, bulgogi, bibimbap and the BBQ.

I was captivated by Korea's blend of ancient traditions and modern innovations. Interactions with locals left me inspired by their kindness and pride in their heritage. My trip was not just about sightseeing—it was a cultural immersion that deepened my appreciation for this fascinating country.
