Ian Porter - Call The Midwife

Ian returns to tell us about Call the Midwife. He will start with a short history of Poplar in London's East End, then a short history of nursing. He will then do an armchair walk though Poplar, looking at the places, stories and characters that are mentioned in the Call the Midwife books and TV programmes. He will also explore how accurate Call the Midwife is of the 1950's East End.

You don't have to have watched the Tv programmes to enjoy the talk.
