Originally built by William Lever on the banks of the River Mersey to create a beautiful place to live for the famous Sunlight soap factory workers, today Port Sunlight is home to unique history, stunning architecture and parks with a thriving community.
Visit Port Sunlight Museum and discover the history of the village, explore a perfectly preserved workers cottage and learn about Ringo Starr's first Beatles performance in the village. Admission £7.00
Lady Lever Art Gallery housed by Lever to house his personal collection, it features world-class fine art, British paintings and the world's finest collection of Wedgewood.
There are various places to eat and drink including Nettle, Lady Lever Art Gallery Cafe, Tudor Rose Tea Rooms, The Bridge Inn, Hulme Hall Cafe and if you wish you can bring a picnic.
Parking is free and the main visitor car park is outside Port Sunlight Museum where we will meet in the reception.
