The Perfect Playground

Michael Gilbert returns to present Part 3 of his trilogy about the Great Exhibition and the Crystal Palace.  The Perfect Playground tells the story of the grounds and the great fire.  The Crystal Palace was surrounded by 200 acres of parkland. Its landscape included thousands of water features. Its life-sized models of prehistoric animals and large-scale events, festivals and sporting fixtures attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors.
