We know that in the event of a serious household emergency, such as a fire or flood, you need all the help you can get – and fast. One way in which we can help our members is through the Oddfellows’ Emergency Financial Aid.*

Members can apply for an emergency cash grant of up to £750. Receiving Emergency Financial Aid is a benefit of membership from day one. Approved applications will be paid to the member and there will be no requirements to repay it.

How to make a claim

If you’re a member and eligible, your first step is to speak with your Branch Secretary or Branch Welfare Visitor, who will send you a claim form. Please note that we will need you to supply supporting information about your household emergency and your Branch Secretary may need to make a home visit. You can search for their details using our Branch Finder.

*Terms and conditions apply to all financial benefits. All Oddfellows benefits are non-contractual and may be withdrawn at any time without notice. Read the full list of member benefit terms and conditions.

The grant enabled us to furnish our alternative accommodation with vital household equipment – like a fridge, washing machine and even camp beds.
