Dental and Optical Care Benefit

We like to help our members finance some of life’s necessities. If you opt for the Extra Benefits membership package, you can benefit from help with optical and dental costs. From the start of your second year of membership, you can claim up to £30 every other membership year towards the cost of optical care and up to £30 every membership year towards dental costs.*

Help with eye test, glasses, contact lens or optical payment plan costs
Once you’ve paid for an eye test, new glasses, contact lenses or optical payment plan, you can fill in a form and attach your optician’s receipt to claim up to £30 every other membership year as part of your membership.

From 1 June 2024, you can claim against optical payment plan costs. Please note you cannot claim for any cost already covered by an insurance policy.

Help with dental check-ups, treatment and dental payment plan costs
Once you’ve paid for a check-up, treatment or regular dental payment plan, you can fill in a form and attach your dentist’s receipt to claim up to £30 every membership year as part of your membership.

From 1 June 2024, you can claim against dental payment plan costs. Please note you cannot claim for any cost already covered by an insurance policy.

How to make a Dental or Optical Care Benefit claim
If you’re a member and eligible, claim forms and further instructions on how to make a claim for Dental and Optical Care Benefit can be found by signing in to the Members’ Area or by contacting your Branch Secretary. Please note that any claims must be made within 12 months of the date of treatment, or the date of the receipt for treatment – whichever is earlier.
