We will have a guided tour. of this fascinating historical site. Birkenhead Priory has a history that includes royalty, the birth of a city, and a religious life. Sitting on the banks of the Mersey, the Priory is the gateway to understanding how the Wirral grew over almost 1,000 years. Please be aware some of the site is uneven and accessible via steps (including HMS Conway Museum). However, Chapter House, Museum, grounds and toilets are all at ground level.
We may use the large cafe at the Priory for lunch (or bring a packed lunch) and then we will move onto the Williamson Art Gallery close by for a couple of hours in the afternoon. (Also has a cafe). Various pick up times.
