Wool Spinning with Anna Leatherdale

Anna Leatherdale is passionate about wool. She spins and hand-dyes wool that she buys from her local sheep farmers, using natural dyes.

Come and learn how to prepare and spin sheep's fleece to create yarn. Using carding techniques and a drop spindle, this activity will introduce you to the art of hand spinning and provide insights in the the use of wool and flax in relation to our local history.

You will each create something to take away with you.
