Did you know that wasps purr? Or that they wag their bodies and tap their antennae to communicate? Wasps have surprisingly relatable social behaviours within their complex societies that are revealed in the world’s first exhibition centred on wasps.
We will be visiting the Grant Museum's new exhibition and experience the hidden, intimate world of wasps like never before! Based on UCL research, "World of Wasps" brings together cutting-edge imaging, projections, commissioned artwork and virtual reality to reveal the unseen lives of wasps – their homes, their lifestyles and their relationships.
We will explore the exhibition with a drink, listen to talks from UCL wasp experts including Seirian Sumner, and take part in relaxed paper sculpture activities led by artist Peter Ayres.
