Basingstoke and the surrounding area is Jane Austen country, so come and celebrate her 250th anniversary with us. This intriguing talk by local historian Alan Turton will describe what life was like for Jane Austen while Britain was at war, which was for most of her life. This talk covers some of the events that Jane and her family would have experienced on the “home front” of the time and will shed light on this turbulent point in history.

Please note - this talk takes place on the 2nd floor at Willis Museum - there are access issues. Please book your space by 10th October.
