The Festival of Britain 1951

Exactly 100 years after the Hyde Park Great Exhibition came the Festival of Britain, a nationwide event celebrating British innovation, design, science, and culture to lift spirits after World War II.  The main site on London's South Bank featured iconic structures like the Dome of Discovery and the Skylon, alongside exhibits showcasing post-war modernism, industry, and arts.  Presenter Michal Gilbert visits to tell you more.
