Degree Workshop

History

History, Culture | Nene and Welland District Branch

Friday 9 October 2026 at 10.30am

Bookable | Deadline: 06/10/2026

To keep our branch running we require a certain number of members to have completed the four minor degrees and then the Purple Degree. This is required so we can have a Prov DGM (Provincial Deputy Grand Master- Deputy Chairman) and a Prov GM (Provincial Grand Master, who is widely referred to as the Chairman). The degrees are not difficult, there is no need to remember things and you will guided throughout (they take roughly half an hour each). Two minor degrees can be taken at the same Workshop. Otherwise there are Lectures which you can take, which are about 15 minutes, which explains more about the Oddfellows, but you would still need to go the Degree route if you would like to become Deputy etc. If you have any questions please ask - most of our current Committee have taken these, so can advise. There is also a five-minute Welcoming Ceremony where you are awarded your ‘three links badge’.
