Twyford Woods Circular Walk

Meet at Twyford Woods Car Park and join us for this 4km walk which takes 1 - 1.5 hours.  The area was a US Army Airforce (USAAF) airbase during the Second World War, and was used as a base for transport aircraft such as the Douglas C-47 Skytrain. The old runways and hard standings still crisscross the site.

This walk can be a little muddy in wooded areas, so appropriate footwear is recommended. We will take lunch in a local hostelry following the event.
