**Online** Zoom .....Talk The life, death and afterlife of Edgar Allan Poe
Talks & Demos | Nationwide event hosted by Bradford District Branch
Tuesday 28 October 2025 at 7.30pm
Edgar Allan Poe is one of literature’s most iconic literary figures, famous for his psychological horror stories and melancholic poetry.
Poe’s personal life was in many ways as sad, strange, and disturbing as the worlds of his literary inventions. From his tragic childhood to his mysterious death and what happened to his corpse in the days thereafter, this much-mythologised author’s life is just as dark as ‘The Raven’, ‘The Tell-Tale Heart,’ ‘The Fall of the House of Usher,’ and ‘The Cask of Amontillado’. Join Brian Clarke for a timely Halloween presentation on America’s most infamous horror writer.
