St Helens and Warrington Oddfellows are proud to bring you an insightful and entertaining talk by Clare Rigby from Momo's on the History of St Helens Providence Hospital.

 

Covering its humble origins linked with religious sisters who were workers of Florence Nightingale, it's early NHS work, growth in the community as the go to hospital for “fixing up” and for Sister Duffy (what made her the way she was “Tears will dry, but a cut will need stitches... It’s all for your own good”
