Compost Workshop

Talks-Demos

Talks & Demos, Food & Drink, Social | Heart of the West District Branch

Monday 9 March 2026 at 1.00pm

Cost: £2.50
Non-member Cost: £4

Learn how to turn food and garden waste into nutrient rich compost, speed up decomposition and troubleshoot common problems.  After the talk, we'll have a very short compost walk and round up with an informal chat at Bruto Lounge, on The Plains, to share what we've learnt and pick Melissa's brains a bit more!  Booking essential, ticket price does not include refreshments that you order at Bruto Lounge.

This is suitable for ALL levels of composters!  Whether you are new to it, baffled by it or know a thing or two, everyone will learn something from this event and make some new friends in the process.  Even if you don't have a garden, there are ways to compost!

Melissa Harvey is a grower, a teacher and has extensive experience in community based composting and ecological education.  Held in The Old School Hall, beside the library.  Booking essential.
