Talks & Demos, History | Nationwide event hosted by North London District Branch

Friday 14 November 2025 at 2.00pm

The Burke and Wills expedition was an 1860-61 attempt to cross Australia.  Led by Robert O'Hara Burke and William John Wills, the team successfully reached the Gulf of Carpentaria.  However, their return was plagued by misfortune, leading to the deaths of Burke and Wills from starvation and thirst, a tragic end to an ambitious journey.  Ian Hutt gives another informative presentation.  Visit www.zoom.us and add Meeting ID 910 7968 6020 and Passcode 1810 or contact Paul Fitton (see page 3) for a direct link.
