**Online** Women in the Picture

Talks & Demos, Culture | Nationwide event hosted by Unity Office

Tuesday 6 August 2024 at 7.00pm

Join us on this richly illustrated 45 minute talk looking at how women artists have been forced through both tradition and social circumstance into narrow roles, to the detriment of their reputations.  Using the life stories of key female artists from around the world, this lively session will show us just what is lost when unconventional women are placed into pigeon holes and aims to give a well deserved boost to their unfairly placed low profiles.

There will be time to ask questions following the talk hosted by Ann Marie Michel, an american journalist based in the North West of England.

Join us on Zoom, details as below:

Meeting ID: 851 6847 9066
Passcode: 935814

If you enjoy the talk we would love you to join us for our follow up Art Unscrewed session where we are painting Frida Kahlo's Self Portrait with Thorn necklace and Hummingbird.  Join regular instructor Dulcie Rowe as she guides us as we paint.  Visit www.zoom.us and add Meeting ID 910 7968 6020 and Passcode 1810.
