The History of Champagne

Join us to welcome back Peter Griffiths to the Tunbridge Wells Constitutional Club. From the early inadvertent sparkling wines, to the multi-national Champagne Houses of today. The talk debunks some of the myths about champagne, it's origin and the part played by the monk, Dom Perignon. It also charts how the wine, the making process and the taste have changed over the years. I am afraid there are no free samples! Refreshments will be provided.
