Join us for Sunday lunch at this high end establishment which has been recommended by one of our members. The Waggon is in the heart of Halam, just a stone’s throw from Southwell, The Waggon is a village pub with a real sense of place. Following a thoughtful refurbishment, they have created spaces that feel comfortable, relaxed and welcoming.
Halam itself is one of Nottinghamshire’s most charming villages, with a history stretching back hundreds of years and a beautiful rural setting that makes it well worth the journey. The village’s St Michael’s Church dates back to the 12th century and remains a reminder of the area’s long-standing heritage and is well worth visiting.
Their kitchen works with fresh ingredients, sourcing locally wherever possible and everything is prepared from scratch by our chefs. Menus are carefully curated and evolve regularly to reflect the best available ingredients, seasonal inspiration and the creativity of our chefs, ensuring there’s always something new to discover.
