Explore the Island

This Oddfellows-hosted group holiday is the perfect chance to effortlessly explore some of Isle of Wight's coastal highlights in friendly company.

You'll be staying in the charming seaside resort of Sandown, with its traditional pier and busy shopping streets. Its bay is also the largest on the island, offering a long, safe, sandy beach framed at either end by stunning white cliffs.

Two optional day trips are included in the price of your holiday.

On day two, there is a coach trip to the Victorian resort of Ryde and beach resort of Shanklin.

On day four, you can head to Alum Bay to see its multi-coloured cliffs and famous Needles Rocks and Lighthouse, plus the bustling harbour town of Cowes. You can learn more about the break’s itinerary here.

We'll be organising some group drinks and times to dine together during the stay, and enjoying the hotel's evening entertainment, but your days will be largely free to plan as you please.

This group holiday is open to any members and their guests and will be hosted by an Oddfellows member.

Your hotel

The hotel has a stand out position on the seafront, across from Sandown’s Pier and beach, and close to the resort’s shopping area. From outside the hotel, you can also set off on a flat stroll towards Shanklin, and take in the lines of colourful beach huts.

The hotel has a light and airy restaurant with sea views and a ballroom, which hosts entertainment most evenings.

You'll also find spectacular sea views from many of the hotel’s bedrooms, or the hotel sun lounge.

Its en-suite bedrooms come with comfy beds, tea and coffee making facilities, a flat screen TV with Freeview, and a radio and hairdryer. Lifts serve all floors and there are a small number of steps to the entrance.
