Visit this National Trust property.  Only six places available.  Born in Kenya in 1935, Khadambi Asalache was a poet, novelist and British civil servant. He bought 575 Wandsworth Road in 1981 and spent 19 years transforming it, decorating the floors, walls and ceilings with intricate hand-carved fretwork, and paintings.  Wandsworth Road Station is on the Overground and two minutes' walk away. It is one stop from Clapham Junction.  You may also takes buses 77, 87 or 452 from stand G at Vauxhall Bus station.
