Friendship-Month

Friendship Month | Nationwide event hosted by Nottingham Trent District Branch

Wednesday 3 September 2025 at 1.00pm

Cost: £5

Bookable | Deadline: 25/08/2025

All welcome to join us for an Afternoon Tea in the beautiful house and gardens of St Barnabas to raise funds for their fantastic organisation and to raise funds for our Chair's charity of choice Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance.  This is in celebration of our Friendship Month which happens every September to spread the word about our own wonderful organisation who do their best to improve the quality of people's lives through friendship, care and charity.

There will be sandwiches, scones, jam and cream available as well as teas and coffees. There will also be a quiz and a raffle. The cost for this fantastic afternoon of food and entertainment will be just £5 per head and all going towards this great local cause.

The money raised from this event will make a real difference to the patients and their families living with a life limiting illness throughout Lincolnshire. St Barnabas Hospice is a local independent charity and every year they care and support more than 12,000 people across Lincolnshire living with a life-limiting or terminal illness. Their vision is a world where dying with dignity, compassion and having choices is a fundamental part of a life. They aim to ensure all individuals facing the end of their life in Lincolnshire receive dignified, compassionate care when they require it and where they ask for it.

St Barnabas offers a large range of free wellbeing services to patients with a life limiting or terminal illness, their families, friends and carers. Raised funds will also go towards Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance whose team of doctors and paramedics carry life-saving equipment on board the helicopter and critical care cars which means they take an emergency department directly to the scene of some of the most serious incidents in Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire. Their crews work closely with the ambulance service, first responders, Police, Fire & Rescue and other emergency services such as HM Coastguard.

Whether beachside, roadside or in the countryside, day or night, they are there when needed most.

All proceeds from this event will be split between the charities.
