Out & About -Bolsover Castle

The creation of a horse-mad Cavalier playboy, Bolsover Castle is something special. Discover the playful Little Castle with its star chamber and marble closet set with striking replica furnishings. You can explore the whole building, from its basement kitchen to its top-floor bedchambers. Outside stoll around the Fountain Garden, designed around a statue of Venus and with William Cavendish's passion for training horses this is reflected in the immense indoor Riding House and great stables. There is a tea room for refreshments and parking if travelling directly to venue. For car share we will meet at our regular meeting point at Pyegrove Road at 11.00am.
