Join us as we visit York Gate Gardens in Adel. A magical one acre garden with Grade II National Heritage status is inspired by the Arts & Crafts movement. A palette of colour bursts to life in spring and summer with tulips, bulging borders, tropical leafy plants, succulent exotics and a meadow full of wildflowers and wildlife. Timeless structure draws the eye in autumn and winter with a masterpiece of pattern and topiary and a finale of snowdrops and colourful gems.
Our visit will start with a Head Gardener guided tour and then onto the upstairs Spencer Suite within the cafe for for a delicious selection of freshly made sandwiches and cakes with tea and coffee included in costings. If you have any specific dietary requirements please let Eleanor know.

After refreshments there will be free time to enjoy the gardens at your leisure, which close at 4pm. Please note there are approx 8 stairs up to the Spencer Suite, no lift.
Ample onsite parking. Plant shop and gift shop.
Unfortunately the gardens are not suitable for wheelchair or mobility scooter users or those with mobility issues.
Booking essential, number are limited to 24 persons max. Priority will be giving to Leeds Oddfellows. Please liaise with Eleanor re lift share opportunities if needed. This place is just stunning, a real hidden gem and the food is incredible (cafe ran by volunteers.) You will not be disappointed and may want to choose to upgrade to an annual membership before leaving!
