The A-Z of Curious Suffolk
Talks & Demos, Coffee Mornings, Social | Nationwide event hosted by Bury St Edmunds & Colchester District Branch
Wednesday 24 September 2025 at 10.30am
This morning we will join Sarah Doig, a historical researcher and author for a journey around the rolling countryside and shingles beaches of Suffolk, unearthing a curious, alphabetical cornucopia of strange and mysterious facts about this county. What did Pepys and Defoe say about Suffolk cheese and which tower was probably built just to curry favour with the monarch. These stories and more will be told in this fascinating talk.
