Leaving Stafford at 9.45am, arrive 10.30am – Cream tea at 10.45am
We will meet in the Packing House Café ready for our cream tea before setting off on one of their tours. There is an option of 2 tours you can choose from the Heritage Trail or the Virtual Tour.
The Heritage Trail, a self-guided tour of the museum and heritage area across the Middleport site. Walking around the Heritage Trail, it is important to note that the site is cobbled and uneven in parts but they have plenty of people using chairs and mobility walkers, so it is manageable, and they have lifts on site.
The Virtual Tour is where a volunteer guide will host the tour in real-time introducing you to the Middleport Pottery history and heritage, before guiding you on a filmic journey of the Burleigh factory.
Cost per member - £6 (as the tours will be subsidised by the District). Non-members - £11
