Join us for a day trip to York by train, some suggestions for the day are: Snack/meal at Bettys Tearooms, walk along the City Walls which are some of the most complete and well-preserved medieval city walls in the UK, visit York Minster, one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in Europe, visit the Shambles, The Old White Swan or The Golden Fleece for lunch then there is the Railway Museum and the Museum Gardens (near the minster and River Ouse). I will do an itinerary which will be optional, people can do their own thing if preferred. Trains go from Grantham and Nottingham and arrive at 1130am but take different routes. We would then hope to leave York around 7pm, people book their own tickets, however, we will aim to meet up in York at betty's tea room shortly after 1130am.
