Travel back in time this Summer to Port Sunlight, the village founded by ‘Soap King’ William Hesketh Lever in 1888. The village was built to house Lever’s ‘Sunlight Soap’ factory workers, but today is home to a fascinating museum, beautiful architecture, a world-class art gallery, stunning parkland and a thriving community. On arrival at Port Sunlight, we will get off the coach to stretch our legs and use the toilet facilities, then at 12 Noon, we will get back on the coach for a guided tour by a Port Sunlight Guide will direct the driver round the village and talk about the kay buildings. This will last for about an hour. We can then have lunch at one of the cafes or village pub.
We have also purchased Port Sunlight Experience ticket, which gives you entry to explore the history at Port Sunlight Museum and you can experience what life was like here over a century ago in the Edwardian Worker's Cottage. You can do this experience at your leisure after lunch.
Please Note: The price of the outing includes our guided tour on the coach and the Port Sunlight Experience ticket.
