Just off the coast of Whitstable at the mouth Thames Estuary these striking sea forts were constructed during WW II to help defend the protect the area from aerial and naval attacks. The forts were decommissioned during the late 1950s and later used for other activities including pirate radio broadcasting station that remains active to this day.
Taking a boat out to these historic structures will require a booking as soon as possible. - This event is not for the faint hearted as the boat ride can be choppy due to uncertain nature of the waves. Get in touch for further details.
