Trailblazers: Women of Bloomsbury
Walks, Culture | Nationwide event hosted by North London District Branch
Tuesday 29 April 2025 at 2.00pm
We are delighted that Chris, our favourite tour guide, will be taking us around another part of London; Bloomsbury.
This walk explores the achievements of women who pushed the boundaries of what was expected of their gender during their lifetimes. Hear stories of suffragists, medical pioneers and educationists, along with wartime undercover exploits and the revelatory autobiography of a former enslaved woman.
Meeting point: outside Russell Square tube station (Piccadilly line). The walk takes approximately 2 hours and is on mainly level ground. It finishes in Bedford Square.
Please email Jackie to confirm your attendance one week beforehand.
