Meet at the Abbey Courtyard, easily recognizable and located near the entrance. Join us for a lovely visit to Newstead Abbey which is a mix of medieval and Gothic architecture.  The inside of the Abbey is just as impressive and was once the home of Lord Byron, one of England's most famous poets. At 1pm you are welcome to join Philip Jones, local and garden historian who is an expert on the gardens at Newstead Abbey, and will take us on a 1 hour walking tour.  The tour is free but you have the option to donate £5, and it lasts approx 1 hour.  We can take lunch or stop for coffee at the onsite cafe.

Meeting point for the garden tour: In front of the Newstead Abbey shop

Visitors should meet at least 10 minutes before the tour start time.

Visitors will need to wear comfortable clothing & footwear, and reasonably fit to undertake a walk around the gardens for approximately 1 hour.

Please note that visitors not entering the house, there is a charge of £6 per car for all-day parking.
