This two and a half hour round trip leaves Castlefield in central Manchester and passes through the lock at Pomona down the ship canal to the river Irwell and Salford Quays taking in the scenery and historic sites along the way. A delicious afternoon tea is included, with sandwiches, wraps, quiche, scones with jam and clotted cream and a variety of cakes. Book early to secure your place.  Pre-booked non members are welcome to join us. The dock itself is accessible, but there will be a few steps to get onto the boat. If enough people are interested we can book a minibus to take us there for which there will be an additional charge.
