Guest Speaker / Event at St Marks Church Hall - A May Melange with Trish Thorns

Join us at St Marks Church Hall in May when we will be delighted to welcome back Trish. 

"I was asked to give a talk on 12 May about VE Day through the poetry of the Second World War. But I could not dismiss the thought that this actual date is, more significantly, International Nurses’ Day.

So I wondered for a while: could I explore both subjects in one talk?

However, the idea, like Topsy, just grew!

So I have offered instead to put together a pot pourri of events, ideas, people and places that came to significance in the month of May.

Doors open 1130am in time to make a cup of tea or coffee. The talk will start at 1145am.
