Talk on Organic Farming

Join us following our Branch Meeting to enjoy a fascinating talk on Organic Farming, from the Farmers perspective.

Robert Whittall has been farming all his life. 

For many years he used chemicals to grow, however in the early 2000s Robert converted his farm to organic. He then opened a farm shop in around 2006.

In 2023 Robert started a regenerative soil program on the farm. This same year the farm was entered for National Soil Farmer of the Year and they came in the top five – a fact that Robert is rightly very proud of.

Robert loves to talk about how good farming keeps soil healthy. It also increases carbon in soils and is good in the fight against climate change. He will explain how healthy soil grows healthy plants, and in turn how healthy plants grow healthy animals.

He will also explain how good healthy food helps with healing and weight loss as well as other benefits.
