Anya's charity chop

Junior member Anya Mehuex took a drastic trip to the hairdresser's, raising over £750 for the Little Princess Trust.

Junior member, Anya Meheux from the Flower of Kent Branch in Foots Cray near Sidcup, took a drastic trip to the hairdresser’s recently for children’s cancer charity, the Little Princess Trust.

Her first proper haircut in six years, Anya donated an enormous 13 inches of her luscious locks to make a real-hair wig for a child affected by cancer.

“I chose to support the Little Princess Trust because it’s a charity I can help out with more than just a donation of money,” said Anya.

“I hope whichever poorly child needs my wig is as pleased to receive it as I was to donate it.”

Before: 13 inches of luscious locks!

To date, Anya has raised over £750 for The Little Princess Trust through donations from family, friends and members of the Flower of Kent Branch.

Thanks to donations like Anya’s, the Little Princess Trust has given away 4,500 real hair wigs to sick children over the last ten years. Moving forward, the charity will be funding eight research projects to the value of just over half a million pounds supporting the development of less aggressive and toxic cancer treatments for children.
