Ian Hutt's presentation tells the story about Ellen and William Craft. They were an enslaved couple from Georgia who executed a daring escape to freedom in 1848. Ellen, with her fair complexion, disguised herself as a white male planter, while William posed as her servant. Their story, highlights their courage and ingenuity especially Ellen’s.
