Saturday Special - Stockport Heritage & More

Meeting in the cafe area  inside St Mary's Church in the Market Place we can have refreshments and look round the church and heritage centre before taking the short walk across to the Dungeons, used during the 15th - 18th Century as the place to lock up people whilst awaiting trial, you may also meet the bobby on the beat in uniform of the era. Lunch can be taken at one of the many  eateries around the market place including the Produce Hall or even in the Market Hall itself, the Makers Market is also on showcasing crafts, artisan foods and more for you to browse and enjoy.
