Join us at St Marks Church Hall in January when we are delighted to welcome Kerenza, the Fraud Prevention Officer for Guardian Angel Carers Farnham. Her role there is to train their teams on how to protect vulnerable people from financial abuse. She also holds community sessions on fraud prevention.
Her presentation will be about the four most common scam types, how people can spot them and how they can protect themselves. The session is interactive and informal. We are then going to discuss any scam experiences that the group has had, where she can also answer questions and will additionally talk about the experience of a lady in Fleet.
There will be free fraud information packs which you can take away with you. These contain more in-depth information on common scams, protection tips, where to report to and how to potentially get your money back if you have been scammed.
Refreshments will be provided
Donations welcomed.
