Bookable | Deadline: 03/07/2025

Meeting in the cafe area we can browse this wonderful museum which is free to visit. Housed within the restored nineteenth century Ashton Canal Warehouse in Ashton- under- Lyne.. The museum combines a lively modern interior with a peaceful canal side setting. Enjoy the temporary exhibitions and step back in time on our 1920s street, as the sights and sounds of bygone Tameside are bought to life. Find out more about local crafts and industries and marvel at the historic machines and explore the areas's industrial heritage. We can also check out the barge trips from the canal  alongside for a future visit.

The museum is accessible by car, bus and train. The car park is free and fully accessible but as the area is laid with cobbles assistance maybe required.
