Thanks to our friend Joy for suggesting the wonderful author, Tony Ashton to come and talk to us about his book ‘ The Bomber and the Weathervane’ a fascinating true story of how the discovery of an old beaten weathervane, fashioned in the shape of a WWII Lancaster bomber linked to a bomber that was shot down over Berlin in 1944, with all crew lost; the dedication of the weathervane as a formal war memorial by the International Bomber Command Centre, the discovery of the crash site in Germany and the unveiling of a plaque at the crash site.

Come and hear all about it.
