The Experience of Ordinary People during WW1 through poetry - Guest Speaker Event at St Marks Church Hall
Talks & Demos | Concord (W Surrey & N E Hants) District Branch
Monday 11 November 2024 at 11.30am
Cost: Donation
In November, our regular meeting happens to fall on Armistice Day, so we have planned a very appropriate talk for you.
Trish Thorns has accepted our invitation to join us that day in order to share some insights to the experience of ordinary people during WW1 by reading and discussing a few of the many poems written at the time. You will see, through the poetry, how people’s experiences completely changed their view of war in just four years.
Join us at St Marks Church Hall, once a month, where we will have a different guest speaker / event each time.
Light refreshments will be provided
