Group holiday overview

Relax in the knowledge that you’ll be well looked after. You’ll be based at HF Holiday’s Peveril of the Peak Country House, and will head out on two full-day excursions on the Saturday and Sunday in good-quality coach transport.

Your accommodation is full board, rooms are en-suite with in-room tea and coffee-making facilities, and all the excursions are included in your price.

You’ll get the chance to explore some of the Peak District’s signature attractions (itinerary may be subject to slight change):

  • Visit Haddon Hall, set on the banks of the River Wye
  • Explore the wooded estate of Ilam Hall
  • Discover Derwent Reservoir, where practice flights for WW2’s Dambusters Raid took place
  • Learn about the village of Eyam’s fascinating battling against the bubonic plague in the 1600s

How active is the tour?

You’ll be out and about during the day and walking around 3-5 miles (5-8 km), as well as hopping on and off the coach. You’ll be spending a lot of the day on your feet, and could be walking across country tracks and footpaths (so sturdy shoes are essential).
