A coastal adventure
We'll be staying in the resort of Torquay, affectionately known as the ‘English Riviera’, with its sandy beaches, public gardens, promenades and hustle and bustle of evening entertainment.
This group holiday is the perfect chance to effortlessly explore some of the delights of Devon. Two optional day trips are included in the price of your holiday – one to Plymouth and Buckfast Abbey and another to Totnes and Brixham. You can learn more about the break’s itinerary here.
We'll be organising some group drinks and times to dine together during our stay, and enjoying the hotel's evening entertainment, but your days will be largely free to plan as you please.
This group holiday is open to any members and their guests and will be hosted by an Oddfellows member.
Your hotel
Just a five-minute walk from the beach within Torquay’s Hotel District, the Metropole Hotel is a great base to explore the seaside town.
The hotel has a lounge and bar with a dance floor where entertainment is provided most evenings and an outdoor seating area.
All rooms are en-suite with tea and coffee making facilities, a flat screen TV with Freeview and a radio, and a hairdryer. The hotel also has a free car park, complimentary Wi-Fi throughout and lifts serving all floors.

Alfa Travel offers a free connecting service to its central Burtonwood Interchange from a number of local pick up points.

You can also make your own way to Alfa Travel's central Burtonwood Interchange, located at Welcome Break Burtonwood Services, M62 J8, Warrington WA5 3AX, where parking is available, or meet us at the Metropole Hotel.
